Description

Obverse: In the centre, stylized version of the heraldic emblem of the Guardia di Finanza which interprets the concept of security and provides a future vision of the role of the Corps, celebrating the past by combining it with the future and the challenges it will continue to face. This emblem includes various elements: the mountain, the sea and the sky, natural environments where the body operates, the griffin, a mythological animal which, according to legend, watches over the treasury, represented by the state treasury, and the turreted crown . Below, “RI”, acronym for the Italian Republic; in the exergue, the dates "1774-2024", respectively the year of the establishment of the Guardia di Finanza and the year of issue of the coin; on the right, “R”, identifier of the Mint of Rome, and “MB”, initials of the author Marta Bonifacio; at the top, in an arch, the writing “GUARDIA DI FINANZA”; around, the twelve stars of the European Union.
